Got it and successfully registered the new version, MMD :D

----------------------------- Original Post------------------------

I've used tons of video converters, free or giveaway (almost from GOTD). But I throw away all of them when I upgraded to Windows 10. I keep using ]VidCoder open source program using Handbrake as its encoding engine and WinX HD Video Converter V5.6.2. The later WinX announced that they broke through the blending edge Hardware Encoder. I just got the license code of the latest V5.9.0 for free by courtesy of the developer's Thanksgiving giveaway.

A no-string-attached giveaway runs till 12/4. Click the top left green button Get License Code, and then directly download and activate the program by using the popped code.

Here is my test result FYI:
-Pros:
1. Windows 10 compatible;
2. Hardware Encoder built in that enables to tick Intel and Nivida and speed up the conversion progress. My 4K video conversion seems faster and more stable than before, so the encoder does the trick.
3. 300+ online video sites downloading support, the best thing since the slice bread for the type of person who likes watching favorite clips offline.
- Cons:
1. Built-in video editor is basic;

For old users, you can uninstall the previous version before the installaion of the giveaway.

Keep in mind, if you want to do h265 compression, and use hardware (Nvidia), you need a GTX 9xx GPU. Still, hardware acceleration works great for h264 on my GTX 770.

Pros and Cons of using this, as opposed to handbrake?

The most significant difference will be the ability to use NVENC and Quicksync if you have nVidia or Intel GPUs. I think Handbrake is supporting experimental QuickSync right now, though.

Other than that. Probably not a lot of differences.
