It is a new thing Dell is doing to replace floppy disks, its a USB flash disk, serach around its a very common item.

Probaby the later is a "Special Edition" 8mb cashe drive, certainly better performance but not revolutionary say 5-20% perfomance gain.

Now if you are doing professional graphics work... You could go with the GeForce card and use the SoftQuadro hack (don't know exactly if it will work with this card, but I don't see why not). Otherwise I would go with the cheaper 4550 (with lowest video card), and purchase a FireGL card elsewhere (because I think you could still get it cheaper than what Dell would charge you).

Yes the first one is better. Faster CPU, Better Video, Sound, Hard drive and Software.

A Memory Key is a Keychain Sized USB Connected Flash Storage Device ranging from 8MB to 2GB.
ME or above doesn't need a driver (usually).

Audigiy2 is better than Turtle Beach.
The difference is small, but still .... 2.66Hhz vs 2.53Ghz.

For you Ti4200 is better. Only 3D design software (autocad, etc) takes advantage of FireGL's capabilities.

Speakers, judge for yourself. Dell's prices aren't the highest, but HK's aren't the best available for the price, either. If you don't care to have the loudest, or best-imaging speakers, go with HK395. They are decent for your average game/ MP3 use.

Up the CPU and go with 4550. Btw, how are you getting $1500? I see a 4550 2.66 Ti4200 for $889-$50 coupon = $839

I would go with the 2.53, TB SantCruz or SBLive, GF4 T14200.
