Give me some medical advice...

When I woke up this morning (6:30), I roller over to turn off my alarm clock. As soon as I rolled over, I began to feel very dizzy. I have no idea why.

I went to work anyway, and left an hour later because I was still feeling dizzy.

I took a nap at 2:00 because I was still feeling a little dizzy (but for the most part, it has subsided).

I just woke up at 4:30, still feeling slightly dizzy, but there's something else wrong now... I have a pretty deep cough and have short breaths. It feels like my lungs are a little sore.

I'm sure it's just a cold, but maybe these are symptoms of something else. I'm just going to keep watching myself and consider going to the clinic if something changes.

Anyone see something like this before?

You're probably gonna die...at least that seems to be the common response in these threads

I'd say get your rest and if you don't feel better in a couple days, perhaps consult a doctor...

which I am not

Thoes symptoms describe an entire laundry list of possible issues.

It's like saying, "I keep coughing, what's the matter with me?".

Yeah, those symptoms are pretty general to give you a definitive diagnosis.

Just from your dizziness, and recent development of cough, shortness of breath, etc, seems like a sinus infection or upper respiratory infection, like common cold or bronchitis. The dizziness comes from disruption of the semicircular canals in your ear, which happens with many illnesses. The shortness of breath and cough definitely points toward an upper respiratory infection.

Some more questions:
Do you have a productive cough? Does sputum or phlegm come up when you cough?
Do you get dizzy with movement, i.e. standing up?
Do you have a fever?
Any recent exposure to illness?

Since I am a doctor, and a specialist in internet diagnosis, I have to say that you have AIDS. I'm very sorry. You should probably inform all your previous partners about this.
