Give me advice on the best ram for my needs...

I am at 289-294fsb range with my 3000+...maybe an assualt on 300mhz later....


What can I buy in the 225-275 range(2x512) that can do 6:5 ratio cas2 or 480mhz....

These geil sticks are crap....wont even boot at cas 3 regardless....

If I can get something that may even run cas 3 at near 600ddr that would be great if the price is not too steep...


Won my fantasy football league so what the heck I may upgrade some stuff for a bit of the future...

The ones that are screaming performance, are the TCCD chips...

They can do very high fsb with low timmings, almost like bh-5.

Some friends of mine are running almost 300fsb 1:1 with these chips. Let me check the specific names with them...

2-2-2-5 with 240 mhz? Good luck getting TCCD to do that. I'd go for some BH-5 and an OCZ voltage booster/vmod your mobo.

I know nick1985 is using some Gskill at around 300mhz I believe with 2.5-3-3 timings right now and he got it for like $225 @ Newegg

Do you know what vdimm he is using??? The MSI board only goes up to 2.85v

Samsung TCCD. The cheapest is PQI or Patriot. $245 or $222 repectivly. Both use brainpower PCB for high OC's like that.


1:1 @ 300Mhz is no problem w/ 3-4-4 1T
