Give me a system setup where a seasonic S12 430w ps would fail...

$99 is a huge investment for a psu this expensive, although it is THE quietest fanned psu out there.

can someone provide me a sample system setup where it may fail to be sufficient?

I prefer not to talk about it. Any mention of it is 'bragging.' So it shall be nothing more than a discrete link. ^^

btw u think it's more worth it to save myself $25 and go with the 400w super silencer version of the seasonic psu?

Have you decided what you want yet? The 400 watt Seasonic should be just fine.
yeah that's the one... i'm still scrambling around for a psu and debating whether the seasonic is worth it or not

the reason im so picky about this was because when i built my 1800xp system 3 years ago, i went for the cheapest parts possible including psu and it was damn loud. now i'm a lot more careful about this.

cheaper by $3!

That doesn't look like it's the same one, no 120mm fan?

My first system was an 1800+ too, pretty loud. Since then I got louder (overclocking a 2100+ to 2700+) and have gotten quite sick of my Thermaltake Smart Case Fan IIs.
it drives me nuts sometimes when i have a hard time sleeping and my pc is purring like an engine
