Give me a reason to finish assassin's creed...

Kev

Lifer
I just finished the 4th mission and it is starting to feel like torture. Does it get any better, because I don't think I can take anymore of this. The investigations are fucking pointless, even if you do them all, all you do is just run up to some guy and stab him.

Sense of accomplishment... I guess. If after only 4 missions you don't enjoy the game, don't bother finishing it.

Meh, if you don't like it than IMO you should bother. It doesn't get any different gameplay wise. I played till the end but I actually enjoyed all of it.

I was in your shoes. I played it because I had already bought it and for achievements points. The ending was all right.

Just don't do all of the missions in a city. Do the minimum and move on.

What bear said ... I had a lot of fun running around though, but let's just say the end fights will piss you OFF. Know that they'll at least challenge you! I think I knocked out like 5 achievements in the last two fights ...

because if you dont, every post you make on these forums will be folled up with a "So, did you finish Assassin's Creed yet?".

So.... did you finish Assassin's Creed yet?

It's a very realistic game...

🙂

All 10 of the missions are exactly the same. I had fun pretending I was The Goddamn Batman for about an hour and then gave it back to my buddy.

All I'm saying is that, as an assassin by trade, it's just a very realistic game. The developers really took the time to research and make the game play feel like you're really doing my job.

Not a day goes by that I'm not wandering around looking for a target when I see one of my assassin buddies who has somehow managed to drop his flags he carries around everywhere. I mean, I never drop my flags but thse retards in my guild do it all the time. They're all like 'Bearxor, please help me get my flags back, I have important information about your target if you help me!' Now, I should just do the master a favor and drop him, but I just help them out...

I kill so many people everyday that going around and picking up flags is therapuetic...

I liked the story. If you dislike the investigations, just do the bare minimum (3?)

The fighting + story are good even if that key component to the gameplay is not

I like the game as well. It is very repetative granted... but I like the story and I've had fun with the game. The only thing I find kind of dumb is how it doesn't matter whether I fight one guy, or 100 guys.... they all just gather around you and attack one at a time so you can kill an infinite number of guys in one fight, it really doesn't matter. The combat AI should be better than that... but I still find the game fun. If you don't, just don't bother with it.

Agreed, often I wouldn't bother trying to escape and finding a hiding place. If it was a group of 8 or less, I'd just kill them. It was a lot of fun killing large groups of guys, especially in the last levels (where they just swarm you)

The best reason to finish it is for the epic boss fight at the end. Definitely one of the more awesome boss fights I've done.

The game certainly has its sore spots, especially the last level. That being said, I turned on some Nightwish while playing the game and it instantly made the game ten times better.

I don't know why everybody bitches about the last level/boss fight. I thought it was badass and quite refreshing since it all was starting to get a bit repetitive.

I really enjoyed the entire game. I started off trying to get everything on every map for the first 4 missions, but that got old so I just did the minimum to get by and fill up the "DNA Sync" bar to it's fullest. The upgraded abilities after boss fights made me enjoy it more...but I just counter killed everybody and threw knives all the time anyway. I didn't expect the 9th boss fight to be like it was...I really enjoyed it and the final fight was also super fun for me. It's not buy worthy since it has little replay, but it's definitely worth renting.
