Can't say I'm surprised... Political correctness never runs more amok than it does at the olympics.

its all the lentil eating lunatics tony blairs band of almighty fuckers keep hiring.

there is not one single person in government today with even an ounce of common sense or national pride. im sure they want us to become a simply nuetral race with no background or heritage whatsoever. in some places they wont even let you fly the st george cross because it might offend immigrants.

theyre all utterly incompetent and the cost of the games is so high because they cant organise themselves properly and have about a million advising agencies telling them what to do. i.e. theyre payng way to many people, way too much money to do the job.

lord coe is also set to make a packet off the back of the olympics as well.

Yesterday the Department for Culture, Media and Sport appeared to leave room for a U-turn.

A spokesman said: ?No decision has yet been made.

?We haven?t made any final arrangements for the opening ceremony yet.?

LOL, back pedal much? The UK Olympic gimps create a complete PR clusterfuck AGAIN. This country is a fucking joke.

Actually, they can leave out the Red Arrows and substitute it with:

1) live feed of our armed forces air striking a goat in Afghanistan
2) a rousing chorus of 2 world wars and 1 world cup
3) presentation of a white flag to the French team
4) 10 minutes of "In Soviet Russia..." jokes

That should keep everyone happy.

they should all be sacked, and they should give the job to some one with common sense and with a degree of competency. oh wait....this is the labour party they dont let you in if you have those 2 attributes.

politicians and governments types = a mass of incompetency held together with an impossibly thin veneer of competency.

saddly the only thing they are competent in is breathing and wasting money. i hope they will be back pedalling for the lives on this one. when theyre done i want them to able to ride the tour de france, backwards

I hear that these days British public servants are a bunch of mindless twats who all graduated yesterday, and this seems to confirm that ;)

Bring back the old public service, with heads of department who actually ran the show, had decades of experience, and kept clueless ministers and governments from totally fscking up.

The sickening political correctness trend is destroying the world.

There should be a trend pushing for people to accept the world for how it really is, without a padding and sugarcoating.

It's not an air show, it's an acrobatic display. The Red Arrows kick arse and attend many major British and international events.

If you'd prefer, we could arrange something boring and/or ridiculously lame/shite for everyone to suffer through

How about having the Royal Army storm the opening ceremonies in full 1700s red coat regalia w/ horse drawn artillery and a bigass Union Jack flying?

I'd pay to see that.

I think that it's a good decision. You need to understand that the British military waged a worldwide campaign of genocide and rape. It would upset tourists and the athletes from other countries, possibly hurting their performance.

Yeah, as opposed to the French, Spanish, Portugese, Germans, Americans, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Cambodians, Persians, Italians, Mongolians, Egyptians, Serbs, and Hutus, right? Oh wait...

That is laughable considering the bulk of the foreign people attending the games are from nations with equally dark imperial pasts...

It's so cool, they once did a u-turn and we still celebrate it 231 years later.

seriously tho, the red arrows are great and there isn't a damn thing wrong with watching them perform. likely to be the highlight of the olympics.

The Olympics are about PEACE and unity and all that nonsense. Having a MILITARY display at the opening ceremonies seems strange to me...

Personally I don't think any nation could rival that of the imperial past of the British Empire.
