Give Dell $2 dollars to plant a tree

Screw that - I plant my own trees - I have two on my property that I planted. I also burn trees, but that's another matter 😛

How about Dell give me $2 and I plant my own fvcking tree?

QFT!!!!

Dell should be giving back to the community, specifically, Round Rock and Austin, TX where they are located.

Sure; they pay hundreds of thousands per year in taxes/local taxes...but then again, that's a DEDUCTIBLE business expense.

My new motto: Dell can kiss my $2 tree that I planted.

Dell buys a pack of 100 seeds for $2, makes huge profit and hires an illegal immigrant to plant them.
From the article: "It costs approximately $6.31 per tree planted."

Dell is giving along with each $2 you donate, Dell is spending $4.31.

Fvck Dell.

Ask their piss poor CSR's in India if they have $2 to spare for a tree?

Grab your pitchforks and torches.

As for the CS, a lot of companies have outsourced their support to India. You want good, state-side support, you have to pay a premium, like at any other computer company.

Most likely, they would be buying saplings that have been growing for quite some time. Trees are therefore more likely to survive, but also more expensive than just getting a bunch of seeds and scattering them to the 4 winds.

it's a nice idea but unpractical. if dell began useing even more environmently friendly materials and offering PSU's with a higher efficeny rating (which wastes less power) it would help much more.
