The funny (and sad) thing is: this may be the phrase that sums up the Trump presidency for future generations. It's an administration tells you water isn't wet, expects you to believe it, and gets genuinely angry when you prefer reality.

Wonder when they'll offer them the kool-aid to drink?
You think they'll encourage them to kill themselves? You don't get slave labor from dead people. I think those shitbags at the top are looking forward to watching their efforts kill people slowly.

Of course...there are usually two (or more) sides to any story, with both sides representing their side as “The ABSOLUTE UNVARNISHED TRUTH!”, and while there may not be any “mis-truths” in their version, it still might not be as accurate as they believe...or want you to believe. Sometimes, “The Truth” isn’t truthful...and, of course, facts aren’t really facts at all, just mis-directions.
Nah, we all know the truth and we all know when we're not telling it to ourselves or others. We know when we lie to ourselves or when we give half truths or fill in blank areas to direct things where we want them to go. We know when we're being ugly and hateful or cruel. The difference between people is the distance they put between themselves and the truth.

Regardless of what Giuliani said the truth is no where near him or his man Trump.

Nah, all too often, “The Truth” is colored by our biases, by out beliefs, and/or by our experiences. Take religion...please...X-tians KNOW, as an incontrovertible fact that they are right, that their bible is “THE TRUTH”, and everyone else is wrong and wii go to Hell. Oddly enough, the followers of most of the other religions KNOW, without amdoubt, that they’re as right as right can be...then there are the people, like most of us here, who KNOW that religion is a bunch of hogwash, created as a way to control the unwashed, uneducated masses...
The truth is like that...
Sure, as you say, we might lie to ourselves about things...and we USUALLY know we’re lying to ourselves, but that’s different than “The Truth.”

Ok I can get on board with what you're saying here but Trump and Giuliani know they're chronically lying. It's the base that are so base and ugly that they "believe" the lies... Though they're a cult they do know Trump's a liar. They know anyone in Trump's sphere talking on his behalf or supporting him is lying. I don't care how stupid they are, they know.

psst... I believe the majority of religious people know they're lying to themselves. It just soothes them in to ignoring it. Faith (all sorts of different kinds of faith) can be so restorative that they compel themselves to call it something else like magic.

From "alternative facts" to Trump telling his people "don't believe what you see and hear" just believe him to Trump's pet spokeslawyer proclaiming "truth isn't truth".

How can sane person believe "ANYTING" this administration says, ever again?

Did you hear the interview with Chuck Todd? The same interview where Todd acknowledged the point Rudy was making with his poorly worded statement.

Don't act like this truth denial is a one off. You have selective memory.

If it was a one off you would have a point

Tump fans don't read. And they don't watch any news outside of "fox news." Their prized ignorance is insulated within their vacuum chamber.

Of course they know they're lying Those fuckers will lie when the truth would serve them better...it's like they can't help it.

Next up in the RudyBall Playbook - A person isn't guilty unless they admit to it.

To which you ask - But Rudy, what if a court finds them guilt?

RudyBall Playbook says - that's just a made up truth. He said he didn't do it. He's not guilty.

So even if you go by what the madman was trying to say, this is insanity

To commit perjury, you have to tell a DEMONSTRABLE lie. That means you have to say something that is easy to proved false with hard, cold facts.

This has nothing to do with opinion, or perception. No matter how Giuliani tries to spin this, he is only attempting to cover up for a client who is a pathological liar and cannot be under oath without either incriminating himself, or perjuring himself.

He has also taken to calling people who testify against him "Rats."

But certainly this is only true for Trump, 1%ers and Russian assets?

Highly amusing, isn't it? Innocent people don't worry about being ratted out...
Very true. They don't have to worry about rats or people flipping or sexual experiences having to be silenced through hush money or an adversary country having something incriminating on them or staff signing NDA's or loyalty oaths.
