I bought them either 1 of 2 weeks ago and they were $4/box. I bought them in my building in downtown Los Angeles. I thought they were a national thing too.
 
Naming depends on where in the US you live. When I lived in Indiana, the Somoas had changed back to Caramel Delights. Here in Phoenix, they're still Samoas. They're also still the best girl scout cookies. 🙂
