Allow me to attempt an impersonation. ahem
"What surprises you about women that 'like' technology? Do you find it fascinating that women are able to COMPREHEND technology just as well as your cavemen brethren? Do you know how many women in history were responsible for technological advancements?"
maybe something along those lines.
My oh my, you guys like to complain that there are no hot women in your classes/fields. As a female Computer Science student that actually got my degree, I just have to point out that the guys in those fields are the best looking either. From my 6 yr tenure (hey I double majored so back off) I have to say there was only really 1 good looking guy out of all the computer science and engineering classes I took. As to some other topics mentioned...I talk the talk and walk the walk. I built my own system (AMD 64 baby, oh yeah). I also play around with lots of different software. I'm not saying I'm elite by any means, I couldn't hack the DOD site like in Swordfish or anything. I enjoy technology, but it does not overpower everything else. I like to go out an party like anyone else, but my liquid income tends to go to techy things (example recently purchased 19" LCD for the puter and snazzy new Motorola cell phone...Bluetooth rocks for driving!).
I will admit girls into tech are rare, but keep your eyes out....we are around.

I would say that women on this forum that fall into that category
are very few....myself included.
I got a lot of bs here in the beginning but didn't let it get to me.
I'm a geek, though I may not look like a geek, and love technological stuff....its my passion and I don't care what anybody thinks.
*edit* and why would people think that because a woman is on here that she's looking for a mate?
Can't she just be a typical AT addict/hobbyist because she loves it?

Hmmm...OTOH, given that 99% of the ATOTers wouldn't actually POST their real pics, I guess that'd be doomed to failure...
It'd have to be a poll, but, again....how do you determine if the pics are legit? I mean, I could find any 'ol pic on Google, photochop in a "I'm posing for ATOT" message and cheat my way to victory.
Plus, you'd need a seperate guys and girls contest, too.
I cracked up laughing when I read the OP?s complaint and felt compelled to make a comment. I know one, just one lady, who is interested in technology beyond using their cell-phone and ipod. She can build her own PC?s and is a gamer. My husband, his friends and colleagues all agree that the man who invented the term "hot woman" had this young lady in mind.

She's a porn star. No, really. You can buy her DVDs off her site. She takes her shirt off to 'advertise the goods'.
FWIW, she runs her site herself, and the HardOCP guys have hung out with her on occasion. I wouldn't say she's a rocket scientist-level PC girl....but she knows her stuff. She can buy parts for and build a PC on her own. And stars in hardcore porn. So....yeah.
