girlfriend wants a minidisc player for Christmas

and I don't have the slightest clue on what to look for when buying one 🙁 What features should I be looking for?

How do they transfer music onto the minidisc? Sounds like those little discs can hold a lot of music so how come they're not more popular?
 
If she can, I would go for a portable mp3 player. They have more features, similar price, and much more storage. I just made the switch from minidisk to iPod and am never going back.
 
I might have one for sale if I can figure out where I put it 😛 I bought it a couple of years ago for like 200 bucks. If you are interested in a slightly used one, but I would sell it pretty cheap, let me know... its a Sony btw.,

Regardless, she wants a minidisc player and nothing else. Kind of stubborn if you ask me, but that's a whole different thread 😉
