When my girlfriend started her job, on her W2 form, she put down that she claims no one (0), not even herself. Each week, in her take home check, will she bring home more or less money than if she would have claimed herself. Also, her tax return. Will it be more than if she claimed herself or less? Plus, is there a chance she could owe the gov't. money?

Please post in the stickied tax thread only!

If she claims no exemption on her W2 she'll take home less but get a larger return.

Nutbucket meant larger REFUND, not return.

But there's no guarantee that claiming zero exemptions on your W-2 will mean you won't owe money. She could have other income that's taxable but doesn't have any withholding applied. But if she has one job and that's all her income, she surely won't owe money when she files.
