I'm guessing that was done on an emulator at a reduced speed (like those Mario 3 speed runs). Neat, but not all that impressive.

Not bad, but I don't believe the story for a second.

Also, whoever wrote the text for the video fails at grammar.

If it is real that is amazing. Gladius 4 (i think thats what it is called) is really a hard game very impressive.

yep.

fake as hell. the player isn't firing any weapons. Is anybody familiar with that game? what level is that? How would the "girl" be able to beat final boss of level one let alone the other bosses throughout the game?

Also, the end, "Ashley asked that this video...." Oh, okay. She was hit in the head, is "autistic-like" but can formulate the idea to share this video, showing off her L33T skills, to spread the word about people like her. Sure.

I'm basing this off of memories of a game I played for a maximum of two hours, but I'm pretty sure that's the first level of Gradius III.

And she wanted to let people know that sometimes good things can happen from bad things. What??? You are dodging freaking spaceships. I could understand if she discovered a cure from cancer or invented something cool, but playing a video game???

there was a show on chanel 4 here in the UK. was about an autistic man who was a musician

he could listen to absolutely any piece of music just the once....and no matter how long or complicated, he could play it on his piano without error and in its entirety

he did a duet with jools holland, and he basically just sat down and began playing with jools....best piano duet i ever saw, it was all freestyle and un practiced, his reaction to jools changing of style and tempo was instant, just insane.....

GLADIUS! Haha! I wonder if the Japanese couldn't pronounce so they changed it to Salamander for the Japanese market.

"Gladius..."

"No, it's freakin GRadius!"

"Gladius.. "

"GRadius! Arrrrgh! We'll just call it SALAMANDER!"

I've seen some FPS players and War3 players live on camera with faster reflexes.

You can't. Well, maybe you can, I think some enemies do self-destruct after a LONG time. Not to mention, in order to get those orange "options" following her ship, she'd have to shoot things.

Yes, an emulator could make that kind of thing quite easy. Given the framerate of SNES, or at least the way it appeared on that video, I don't know that there'd be enough data to accurately analyze the movement of various sprites in the game.

Nothing unbelievable here, lots of autistic people gain uncanny abilities because of how their brain works now, I remember the one black kid could draw the Colosseum in Rome from memory while flying over it in a helicopter.
