Bread and water. Filter out the booze and something to absorb it at the same time. I remember being that sick before, it physically DID hurt my stomach...and throat with all the acid I was spewing up.

I dont know where you guys are getting this bread and water bit. That stuff will just be puked right back up. You just have to wait it out and let your body filter out most of the booze.

Wow. It took like 6-7 of the replies before I realized we were talking about shots of liquor not needle-poke-you-in-the-buttocks shots. I was wondering what kind of vaccines use nine shots in one day!

I'm calling shens on this. No way could he have been that arguementative and aggressive after drinking 2 fifths of booze. At best he'd be passed out in the corner.

he was taking shots with another guy... so think of it really as just 750ml.

but, nevertheless we kicked three kegs @ this party too before he started with the liquor and i know he was pounding the beer hard...

he ended up dry heaving and attempting to ram his head into the door he was out of control... i have seen him like this once before and we had to stop him from jumping off a deck...

since the party where he hit me and i had to put him down... he hasn't been allowed to party with us until he can control his habits.

Why did you stop him?

he is still a friend. i couldnt let him plumet to his demise.

needless to say he kinda has been black listed now from hanging out w/ us (my group of friends) until he gets his act straight... but the sad part is that his other friends (people my group of freinds don't hang out with) are just like him when they drink so he has been chilling w/ them more... drama i know...

Uh, water is most definitely a proven and viable solution. It helps dillute any alcohol and other nasties in your stomach, and stops the dehydration effect you'd normally attribute to a hangover.

The bread bit seems to just be somethign to give your stomach a little weight and bearing, even if it will just get thrown up.

But water IS a good idea, always.

Uh, water is most definitely a proven and viable solution. It helps dillute any alcohol and other nasties in your stomach, and stops the dehydration effect you'd normally attribute to a hangover.

The bread bit seems to just be somethign to give your stomach a little weight and bearing, even if it will just get thrown up.

Although the body needs water, it is highly unlikely to be held down as much as clear broth or flat soda.

This may be true -- And even if the water does get thrown up, it is always better to throw up water, than to dry heave....

If you choose to stay, you are responsible for her and you will be arrested if something happens to her. Just remember that. I would let a drunk person die in their own vomit rather than help if someone asked me. I have NO sympathy for people stupid enough to OD on alcohol.

The bread soaks up the liquid in the stomach... what this means it is isn't absorbed as quickly into the stomach. If the bread is thrown up, you have less alcohol in your system to get rid of also.
