LOL, wow that chick is stupid.

Yep, bad mouthing a judge is guaranteed to get you at least thirty days. This was pretty clear even to a maroon like the girl.

I once did jury duty on a case where both the prosecutor and the attorney for the defense were illiterate dumb fucks. Not only could neither one spell, they both had trouble remembering the case was about a motorcycle not, an automobile. At the end of the case, I almost said something to the judge about it then, I realized, saying anything derogatory about them was pretty much the definition of contempt of court.

Did not some spoiled actress recently in CA have on her knuckles when she had to appear in court?

This could have been avoided had she not acted like a complete twat.

But hey, since this is AT, the lawman is at fault.

Judge is a hypocrite. He lectures her about being professional and sarcastically ended the encounter with a childish "Bye, Bye", then acts completely surprised and offended when she replies with "Audios". He's a hypocrite, plain and simple.

A teenage girl is an airhead? I'm shocked. The judge knew full well he was baiting her and she was dumb enough to fall for it. This judge is not the type of person I want in government.

Yeah, having to pick judges from the human species is so lame. There ought to be a padded State we could relocate all such afflicted teenage girls to until they're ready to be productive citizens. The world is just plain mean, please fix it.

During the initial proceeding, Rodriguez-Chomat set her bond at $5,000 and said "bye-bye," and Soto laughed and replied "Adios."
Rodriguez-Chomat summoned her back and reset her bond at $10,000, shocking Soto.
"Are you serious?" she asked.
"I am serious. Adios," he replied.

That's bullshit that the judge did that.

I don't get what is offensive about adios. Especially because the judge is also Hispanic and presumably a Spanish speaker.

Girl is obviously a dumbass but the judge is a judge and shouldn't be doing things like baiting dumbasses to cause trouble and get 30 days in jail.

I'm not saying I'll lose any sleep over it though

Showing you have no remorse for breaking the law usually means you are going to get a larger fine so what's the issue?
