Guys, it has nothing to do with the phone itself.
All the potential energy in a cell phone is stored in the battery; the battery is what was defective. Not the phone.
Well, I guess I can't really say that with certainty. I suppose it's possible that a defect in the phone short circuited the battery and made it overheat and explode or something along those lines.
heh.
A small short circuit is enough to set off a battery of that size? The power in those batteries isn't all that much. Even if the battery dumped all of it's liquid contents and there was a spark, I highly doubt that would have caused anything more than a burn on the skin from the leaked liquids over time. What was she doing? Sticking her ass in the oven or something? where'd all that heat come from?
