Sort of messed up, they never said what the first prank was. Seeing people destroying my vehicle wouldn't have me shooting first although I am allowed to.

Florida allows you to step out of your house if people are vandalizing a car in your driveway and shoot them to death? I doubt it. Texas it's probably legal (not kidding).

I slipped and basically dove into the neighbors car about 30 minutes ago coming in from the store.....thank goodness he's not a fucking crackpot or I'd be dead.

Ummm, so I guess you totally missed that crime scene photo of the Mayo on his car then? Why post the story if you didn't even look at all the stuff in the article? They went there to prank the dude's son...maybe they didn't know that it was his dad's car. The article says they targeted his car with the eggs and stuff that they brought and he came out and shot the girl. Everyone took off and ran to the gas station and called the police.

On the particulars it was a murder. More generally, hopefully cases like this will dissuade idiots from similar stupidity in the future. The article doesn't say what the nature of this original prank was but it does say it happened when they were in their car, so it was probably directed to the car just like this was...

I think this is even more fucked up because it sounds to me like they were about to leave. All of them piled up into the car and this nutjob came out and shot into the car. There were like 7 kids involved. From the photos, it seems they didn't do much to the car. This dude is worried about some kids fucking with his car....well you can't have a car in prison, bud.
