The memory temps are what you have to worry about with Eth mining...the core is not stressed that much. Not sure if the 3-series cards show mem temps in Afterburner or other software though.

I'd be more worried whether the memory is overclocked.

I have an RX 5700 as a deal I got over eBay(I repair, I get paid higher) and the memory junction sure runs hot. 105C maximum and you can easily get it to run at 102C.
For the box....the f-ing box no card this listing is box only.

Doesn't mean people will actually buy the box. Just a listing.

A theory on the ebay listing are that they are to catch bots on ebay and force them off the platform, possibly dropping prices for everyone by at least forcing the bot operators to spend time to bid on the various listing instead of writing/tweaking a bot to automatically attempt to buy any buy-now card or bid on any card below a certain value that they have set.

That is the theory at least. I still think some are scams trying to make a buck, but I don't see how given ebay's bias for buyers/purchasers.

I saw a EVGA 1070 ACX 3.0 cooler only going for £250 on ebay, boxes and photos in the hundreds too. The stupid ones to me are £25 then £1,000+ cash or bank transfer for a 2060. Then ther's the scam 1080Ti cards being "sold" for £100-200 and people are buying them by the hundreds... it's a scam and people fall for it all the time.

That's a scam as old as time. My favorite was when the Xbox 360 launched and there were a plethora of Xbox boxes being listed on eBay.

There are also a lot of people selling printed pictures of cards. As some have pointed out already some of this motivated by a desire to screw with bits that do t really understand what they're bidding on.

Not to get anyone's hopes up, but there may be some supply coming soon™ . The Ever Given is still under arrest until one of the responsible companies pays up the recovery costs, but the shipping lanes were freed, so some backlog of container shipment is clearing.

- I'm pretty sure all those ships were headed to Europe which is not the Unites States, and therefor, does not count.

Welcome to Planet America, enjoy your stay.

Did you spend $100 for the empty boxes?

Nope. I originally got an EVGA 3080 XC3 when I was lucky enough to walk into a Microcenter and they had one left. B/c I wanted a 3080 FTW3, I flipped it for a small profit. I then used discord notifications to get the 3090 FTW3 from Amazon and a 3090 FE from Best Buy. I sold the 3090 FE to a friend at my cost and had been using the 3090 FTW3 the last four months when I started getting notifications from EVGA from being on queue since last Sept. Got the 3090 XC3 and just flipped it for $3k. And got the 3080 FTW3 a couple of weeks ago and have been using that. Will be flipping the 3090 FTW3 soon. The 1080 Ti I have been keeping as a back-up but since they're going for over $800 on eBay will probably flip that.
