I know there have been rumors. However, the folks over at XDA Developers managed to get a real sprint / samsung version.

It is still a work in progress and is buggy but it does show with froyo out Samsung is jumping right into working on Gingerbread.

If this is anything like froyo it took about 3 months from first leak to release. We shall see....

Oh, you mean the Epic? There are working i9000 and Captivate ROMs already (not official, though the former was officially released for a day).

Amazing how much better supported the Epic is than the Fascinate. I hate Verizon.

I guess samsung got some decent programmers. The EE03 leak for Sprint just got out and it is fantastic. Everything works....including GPS. GPS locks in less than a second for me. Samsung even has the FM radio working now. I would guess GB is going to be released for the epic within a month as it is fully sprintified and in full working condition.

Awesome! I'm going to wait for it to develop a bit more, but it looks promising. Wonderful to see that Samsung hasn't completely abandoned the Galaxy S - I thought for sure it would be stuck with Froyo.

Verizon on the other hand... I'll just say I'm glad I'm with Sprint.

Excellent thanks for the heads up! Installed and ran netflix on my epic and GPS seems a bit more functional than previously.
