Gin is gross.

I am wondering why you know what a pine tree tastes like.

plus gin+tonic without gin tastes a lot like tonic water, which sucks.

I love both of them straight up, gin especially 😛

Maybe you're not drinking good gin? Get some hendricks or tanqueray 10.

If your vodka tastes like something, you have a problem.

Last vodka my friend bought me as a present was skol. :shudder; I just love the taste of rubbing alcohol!

Seeing as gin is primarily flavored with juniper berries (juniper being an evergreen), it's not surprising that it has a "piney" taste. I love that taste.

me and my friends used to drink tanqurey straight from the bottle, iwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, i shutter at the thought now!

that is nasty. the first time i drank gin i threw up after. NEVAR TANQUERAY AGAIN

Gin = vodka (pure grain alcohol) re-distilled with juniper berries and other flavorings.

Yeah, pine is exactly what I taste, too. It's actually decent with tonic, though.

I don't really like whiskey, either. I guess I'm just not really one for the taste of wood...

Seriously, it tastes like a pine tree. Vodka, on the toher hand, is awesome.

Saying that vodka, easily the worst-tasting of all hard liquors, is "awesome" invalidates anything you might say about gin.

What have you been drinking? Vodka doesn't really "taste," which makes it a great mixer and easy to shoot.

straight-up vodka=rubbing alcohol. It's the lack of taste which makes it nasty.

Hmmm I'd rather have gin than vodka... 5 o'clock gin > 5 o'clock vodka in my book. Gin in tonic with a lime = goodness.

Tell that to someone whose first drinking experience was having FAR too much vodka and puking constantly for 2 days 😛
