If they had a trophy for most overrated player, Brodeur would have won it about 10 times by now. He's a beneficiary of the system, as the fairly wide gap between his GAA and save percentage demonstrates. And he's only gotten worse in the postseason, the last time they went to the finals he notched a save % below 90 3 out of the 4 series. The same was true a year earlier, with the Devils winning the Cup more in spite of him than because of him.

And as for Federov, his defensive skills are easily eclipsed by Lehtinen and Madden now and Francis or Carbonneau 10 years ago.

Methinks if you take Giggy and the Duck's second half stats... they look really strong. A couple of my fav players outside of the Devils, Kariya & Selanne... I loved watching them play together... really wanted NJ to pick up the Flash from the Sharks before the deadline.
