Hello everyone,

I am currently building a new system. I wanna put 16 GB of RAM and an AMD A10-5700. Graphics are not yet planned as the CPU got an integrated one and gaming is not planned. But multimedia work is a must like editing pictures and videos and so on...

The only thing thats left is a good motherboard. The price is in the same range just below 100 dollars. Thats pretty much the amount i would like to spend. The only question is, which board is better to get? HiFi sounds like a good match for multimedia and some basic works. But Gigabyte is the more known brand...

hey BigBenny,

i can only talk from my point of view. I got a biostar motherboard just by "accident" because my first choice was not on stock when i wanted it. Thats why i gave it a try. Based on your selection i dont think you can make any mistake with both of those motherboards.

Now i am working with the biostar A85W already for a while and I can honestly say its a nice system. The sound is really good and I could not find any issues from driver support or bugs about some features.

Would i buy it again? No, because I am heavy working with premiere video editing and i learned that Intel would be the better choice :p

But I would give biostar a good chance there too.
