I need some new memory for my computer because i am a gamer and i only have 512mb in my computer right now.
I was thinking of getting Gigaram Mach1000 series 2gb (2 X 1gb) 2-2-3-5
Model # GR1DD8T-K2GB/400/2.0
Any suggestions on the ram, is it any good?

What if i get it for $140-150 would that be worth it?

I have a intel pentium 4 2.4 @ 2.6 and an X850XT 256mb agp and on the 3dmark my score is only 5035 should i be scoring higher is it my crappy 512mb ram?

The last time I heard about gigaram there was a bunch of people that couldn't even get it to run at its rated speed. Yours may work fine, but it is always best to stick with reputable manufacturers. I would get something like Corsair VS.

yea, go with the value ram from reputable manufacturers...

if you want to get the same timings at a cheaper price from a reputable manufacturer, try the g.skill extreme series or get some cas 2.5 value ram from g.skill for $145

you could go with corsair or ocz too but i'd recommend value ram

I havent heard too much about gigaram. But since your a gamer I would recommend ram that you know is stable. Ocz, muskin, corsair and G.skill all make great 2 x 1gb kits.

I definitely would not pay $250 on it. If you can get it for $160 then I guess it is fine. However, I would really just suggest getting value RAM for around $140.
