Gigaram was started in 1996 and its engineers have over 12 years experience in the memory manufacturing field. They are as of yet somewhat unknown by enthusiasts, but have apparently been making modules for companies like Apple, Sun, Cisco, Toshiba, etc for quite some time. I have found a couple of reviews of thier unbuffered PC3200 memory, all glowing reviews. ! review of thie runbuffered PC3500 also a great review, but have no info on thier registered ECC memory which I need for my dually rig.
I came across thier memory at newegg, its is close to the cheapest stuff they have at 124.00 bucks for a 512MB registered/ECC DIMM. They also have 256MB Dimms of the same rating for 44.00 bucks, a 36 dollar savings, but requires me to fill up all my ram slots. Although I may be willing to for that price.
SO basically if anyone has used the stuff, please let me know your feelings, I think I am gonna get it and try it unless someone can give me a specific reason not to.
