Giganews or Easynews: that is the question.

Price is pretty close for the 6GB/month deal, but what about speed, retention, groups selection, etc? Any obvious pros or cons to each or is there another service out there that's even better?

Easynews is AWESOME. 35 days retention on the web-based interface. Individual Parts are RARELY missing, and the PAR files more than make up for them. Speed is unlimited, AFAIK. Group selection is perfect. And you can even go ABOVE the 6GB limit if you know how the site works...

No contest, IMHO.
