Shhhhh!!! Don't let people in on the secret of Usenet!
What secret? How to pay to be a pirate? I'll stick with my torrents.

Usenet is way faster than torrents and there's way more available.

it's faster, easier and more bandwidth efficient, but torrents tend to have better selection, especially for older stuff.

24/7 stablity, up to 70 day retention though its always 50 days or more. All newsgroup service retention goes down because the nature of usenet is that it grows daily.

There adding more retention space though Giganews.

They always do.

Its at 60 to 61 days currently which is fine.
