I remember Anandtech had an interesting article on this subject.. I found this link at the Inq this morning.. Seems to originate from a Japanese Gigabyte site, so it's translated with google. Check it out: linkage

It doesn't mention any benchmarks of increased performance or use of SATA2 though.. hopefully it will be reviewed soon

I'm less interested in RAID posibilities, and more interested in being able to get one.
