Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P Revision

My new build has been up and running for a few days now and I saw that BIOS F6 added support for 22nm CPUs, so I installed @BIOS and flashed the BIOS automatically with which was supposed to be the newest version. System re-boots, and it is still saying it is F5 (same as before).

Now here's something strange that I can't figure out. On the motherboard PCB in the corner it says "Rev1.3", so I assumed that was the boards revision, but in the manual it says "Rev 1001" and online there is only a rev1.0. Even on the first page of the manual it says to "check your motherboard revision before updating BIOS, drivers, etc", and points to where it says Rev1.3 on my board. I was going to manually flash to F6, but now I'm worried why I have this mystery revision that doesn't exist on their site.

note: I got all my chipset, realtek, audio, intel RST, etcetc drivers from that "Rev1.0" page on their site and haven't had problems yet...

Did you receive any message after the BIOS flash ?? It should say it was successful, but since you used @BIOS you were probably in Windows, which is not the safest way to flash the BIOS.
I flashed mine using the TouchBIOS utility and had the firmware on a thumb drive. I'm running a Z68XP-UD3-iSSD and just recently flashed to the F5 BIOS on my board.

It said successful and that I needed to restart, so I did. I put back all my BIOS settings since the CMOS is cleared, booted, and it still says F5.

I'm more concerned over why my PCB says "REV1.3" when on Gigabytes site, only a Rev1.0 exists.

The Gigabyte website only shows a Rev1 of that board, so I'd shoot them an email and find out what (if any) differences exist between the 1.0 and 1.3 version. Good luck !

Guess I'll have to because I can't find any answers.

Were you by chance overclocking your cpu prior to reflashing to F6?

No I was not. Brand new 2500k, probably won't for awhile till it's burned in.

i'd love to hear what they have to say. i've had a few gigabyte products and i don't think i've even found a changelog or comparison, and it's unusual to find pages for all revisions. the changes are probably similar to all manufacturers, but they don't even list a revision number. i stopped worrying about it.
