I've gotten everything in my system very stable, so now I'm working on noise. I have 3 case fans to control and one on the CPU. I used Smart Fan 5 to calibrate the fans and establish the ramp, and then I tweaked the temperature interval to 5 to keep the fans from jumping up too quickly. Unfortunately they are still jumping within a second or two of a perceived load on the CPU. I'm not really worried about brief temperature spikes since it will take longer than a few seconds to heatsoak the heatsink. I'd rather have the case fans ramp up after 20-30 seconds of load, and the CPU fan to ramp up after 5-10 seconds.

I don't see any other option in Smart Fan to adjust them. Should I just bag it and try a different utility? The BIOS also has Smart Fan functionality, but the settings are even more coarse (interval only goes to 3) which still does not seem to affect the ramp up time.
