Is 50/70 idle/full load degrees celsius too hot for this card ? I`ve got two 120 mm fans ofr air circulation but i`m a bit worried about the temperatures.

Wow. If your card is passively cooled and those are your temps then you've got absolutely nothing to worry about. Looks like Gigabyte's passive cooling solution is a success. I just might have to dump my current 6800gt and look into these :)

My temps are similar for my Gigabyte X800 XL.

I had to RMA my board because one of the RAM chips was bad but I do look forward to getting my replacement. I just love the silence of the board.

I'm thinking about getting the passively-cooled Gigabyte x800xl. i think my case is well ventilated - have a
120mm fan in front and back plus the 2 fans in the PSU.

I'm concerned that the ambient case heat generated by the card will only cause the case fans to work harder
and thereby generate noise themselves. (I've also got passive cooling on the chipset, but not for the CPU).
I guess what I'm asking is " Does the passive cooling result in an more quiet system overall " ?

I had been considering the Sapphire x800xl ultimate but I it's not readily available.
