I dont have a digi cam, so I hope I describe this in the best way possible

On the rear side of the card: Pic of Rear
It seems that the heatsink is not stuck to the card. If you look at it from a sidways view the sink is slightly off from the card. I am slightly alarmed at this since I dont feel that this should happen. I was going to try maybe putting some Artic silver or something along those lines in it but I am not sure if this would help. IS there anything that you would suggest? I got this card and woud not want it to go bad on me. I could RMA it but I am not sure how to go around it. Plus I don't want the downtime. So I figured I would ask the best of the best here for there professional opinion. Thanks!

Well yes, this is a sort of problem which can occur mounting large heatsinks on graphic cards.

What u are describing on ur card is what i have been running for more than an year. When i installed my Zalman Headtpipe on my Ti 4200, it was slightly off balance.

If its the rear side heatsink, it does not need to stick to the card nor it is designed too.

The front side heatsink, observer carefully if its off balance near the core. If the contact b/w the heatsink and core is shaky, u should observer temperature reading from ATI tool to confirm.

SAFETY:

Such solutions are always a fear and when u have verticle cases, its even more harmfull.

Because ur card is heavy, u should take a little stick or hard tubing and try to give ur card extra support (and i really mean it, i have it for my X800 Pro with Zalman dual Heatpipe).

Ur case is pretty ordinary, RMA won't help coz ur card is perfectly fine.

Just to add to ur info, i have seen more pictures of this card, in some i did notice the front heatsink not in line with the rear.
