Gigabyte x58a-UD3R at POST says all USB ports are 1.1

Full POST? Why did you bother in the first place?

Anyway, it shouldn't be a problem, it's probably just for compatibility or something. All the USB ports (except the USB 3.0 ones) are controlled by the ICH10R, which is indeed USB 2.0.
