Gigabyte vs Asus

Ok, My brand new P5Q-E is not working after 1 day. It has to go back.

Not sure if I want to go through this again with the same motherboard.

Looking for a substitute, I have picked out the Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R.

Does anyone have a preference for 1 over the other (and why). Also in general does one company and their products have an edge??

One thing I read about the Gigabyte is that the bios needs to be updated asap. Asus was easy, you did it with the EZ flash utility in the bios and the bios was on a flash drive. Gigabyte's website talks about floppy drives. That scares me. Does anyone have any insight on this too?
