Gigabyte videocards and PCB color

Hi, any of you have bought or are using Gigabyte videocards?
How are they quality wise?

I saw the Gigabyte HD 6850 equipped with the Windforce dual fan technology which seem really nice.

Other question, what's the difference between a blue, black, red and green PCB for videocards? Is anyone of them better than the other? (Not specifically for Gigabyte but for all brands)

Thanks!

I used to have a Gigabyte 275GTX that was factory OC'd to 285 speeds and it ran great and I had not problems, it was a very nice card.

In regards to PCB color, I don't know but I don't think the color means much.

However I'm sure some Warhammer 40K orcs would prefer red as "Da red wunz go fasta!"

That's like asking "what's the difference between a black and a beige computer?" The answer, of course, is 2%. :awe:

Ahem, the actual answer is, "no, there is no functional difference."

Various brands will often use certain colors, kind of as a brand hallmark.

Hahah thanks.

I'm asking cause I read somewhere that some boards we're unlockable with a bios flash (like the black ones on the 5800 series or something like that)...

I believe for Gigabyte, blue cards are custom PCBs while their AMD cards with black PCBs have a reference design.

I have found Gigabyte to be of high quality...was just until recently using a GTX460 with the dual fan design and it was cool and quiet.
