Alas, discrepancies remain. For instance, the list implies that the 8IPE1000 Pro is only compatible if it is version 2.03, yet the support BIOS download notes for the original revision state compatibility:

F8 2003/12/25
Update CPUID 0F33h micro code to 07h
Fixed Install NT4.0 Fail with Prescott CPU

F7 2003/11/25
Support intel Prescott and P4Extreme family CPU

yep, and guess what, I have an 8IPE1000 Pro non-rev 2.03
on monday i am going to clarify this with them and if my motherboard does not support it then i will demand that they replace it because the manual specifically states that it will support Prescott

Please follow-up as I have same.

Also, have you tried BIOS F8? 'cause I did and it hangs for a few minutes on boot. For awhile I thought I was fooked, despite the Dual BIOS since it seemed to just not work and yet the auto restore was not kicking in but after waiting long enough the CMOS Setup could be entered. I messed about with it for quite awhile but eventually just went back to F7. Not that I need Prescott support at the mo' or anything else really fixing but there are a few other minor option changes between versions too. Mainly I was interested in the advanced chipset performance stuff.

I just got off the phone with Gigabyte Tech support and according to the tech i talked to he said that at least for my motherboard (GA-8IPE1000 Pro Rev 1.0) That if i have bios F7 or F8 it will support Prescott.
Which seems odd because of how they have it listed on the website.
