Gigabyte Socket A GA-7VTXE

I just bought a retail Gigabyte motherboard Socket A with the VIA KT266A chipset. I also got a AMD 1.1ghz 266fsb cpu. With 128 MB PC2100 DDR RAM. Now, after I just used the bare part to turn on the PC it does not pass post. The LED on the motherboard turns on, the fan on the CPU turns, the speaker makes NO sound at all. I get an empty screen, (i am using a Asus v7100 Geforce 2MX AGP) I cant figure out what the problem is. I cant test if the CPU works, because I only have that motherboard. Nor can I test the DDR RAM because I have no way to test it either. I tried everything I can think of. I took it out of the case, on cardboard box. Nothing has worked, I tried a different video card, Nope. I am suspicious it is the RAM because even without it the screen is blank like before.

So it does post? Some of the commen things you could try/check is clearing the cmos(via jumper, check the manual), reseat the ram/vid card, and make sure your power supply is up to snuff(what brand, model?).

No, Im sorry of if its stated wrong, but it does Not post, does not enough count ram, nor show anything on the screen. I have an Antec 350W power supply (it works on my other P3 motherboards)
Gigabyte GA-7VTXE
WD 20 gig 7200rpm (working, tested before)
128 DDR Ram (Mt) initials on RAM, Micron? I dunno bought it cheap (never tested)
Geforce 2MX Asus (tested, works before)
Creative 8X DvD (tested, worked before)
1.1 gig AMD Athlon 266fsb (never tested, bought new)
Darn thing does not boot, nothing, Im struggling with it at the moment. I have to get new RAM today.
