The reviews say this runs really hot do you guys think its worth the price??? Im tempted to buy it yet conflicted about its heat out put. Need advice.
 
Just looking at it, it looks like the cooler is pretty much reference. Also, people said with the newest Catalyst drivers the fan speed can be manually adjusted and it sort of eliminates the issue. I would go for it if you find it to be a good deal because of the mouse. If you don't care about the mouse, maybe check out the Sapphire version that was posted on here as well.

it runs hot if you leave the fan at 20% - you have to go into ATI Overdrive in the CCC and enable the overclocking and manually adjust the fan, its easy
 
Ah man Im so tempted I wish it wasnt a rebate this is torture lol. Only reason Im conflicted is I had an old AGP that burned out on me from too much heat. Dont want to go through that again.
 
you should also be able to flash the gpu rom and modify the fan profile. that is what i did w/ my 4850 since the fan basically wouldn't come on until ~69C. w/ a change in that profile, the card works flawless. plus it works dynamically the way it is suppose to, not a static number that doesn't change. i did know this going in so i did it as soon as i got it. you can read about it here on the process.
 
Worried about the heat issues, based on the reviews I am leaning toward the saphire version, for $179 after rebate.
