Hiya,

I decided to purchase the Gigabyte R9 280X Model.

Looking for some advice, what I prefer is the GV-R928XOC-3GD-GA (rev. 2.0)

But it's currently out of stock and is roughly going to cost me $450-$500

I can however purchase the GV-R928XWF3-3GD (rev. 1.0)
For $350 and separately purchase BF4 for $80

What exactly is the difference between Rev 1.0 and 2.0 - I'm not interested in OC my machine ( Factory OC is fine ), I read something about the Voltage being locked in the 2.0 - how will that effect me ?

Is the difference in these two cards worth waiting and paying extra for ?

Thanks

Rev 1 is the original 7970, the 2nd is the Ghz edition...I believe most of the original version could clock to GHz anyway...

Mine is rev 1.0, it's the same as the 7970 GHz, I would think rev 2.0 would have an updated/fixed BIOS. I know the page shows 850/1000 but mine does 1000/1100 just like rev 2.0 says.
