Hi,
Just wondering if anyone could give some help, as gigabyte havnt been helpful at all
Got my new system a few days ago and noticed one major problem, basically any soft reset (using reset button, windows retart or entering bios and exiting) makes the pc reset/restart but it doesnt show video/monitor.. system still boots fine.
I've tried all bios revisions, F3,4,5 and 6.. no help. I have changed settings in bios... no help.
Finally I took it back to the shop and they replaced HDD, Video card, PSU and memory... still the same problem.
I agreed to wait for a bios update from Gigabyte... as I have 1 year warranty I can return it after xmas... esp since i dont reset the computer that much once all the drivers are installed.
Now I noticed another big problem related to the video card... my PCI-E link speed is set at 1x... 2.5gbs bandwidth... I tested 3d Mark and I get 4000 points, which is rather low.
System is e6300 not oc, 7600GT extreme XFX, 1gb Kinston DDR2 530mhz etc... should be at least 5500 as my friend has an identical system...
Im pretty sure the link speed is slowing it down, I tested a few games and this system is not much faster than my old xp2000+ with 6600gt lol!!!
Do i replace the MB? I dont want to be with a slow gaming system over xmas/holiday break
I know one member has posted about a similar problem with his S3.. but I have no way of contacting him.... hope he/she reads this and can asnwer if they replaced the MB with the same S3 or another brand/model.
Thanks in advance,
Yapa
