Gigabyte P4 boards

I just so happen to be looking at some motherboards... and i noticed that most of the new gigabyte boards contain the 667 in their model number... I found that rather odd because normally there is some reasoning behind naming the boards... the only reasoning i could come up w/ is that they have unofficial support for the yet to be announced 166MHz FSB of the P4...
which could get confusing if in the end those chipsets don't have support for it...

i was just wondering if you guys could come up w/ a better explaination for it...

thanks
Josh
