Gigabyte P35-DS3L multiplier changing automatically?

Hello, i recently flashed the bios on my p35-ds3l from version F7 to F8.
I currently have a e6300 processor and usually run it on a 7x multiplier at a 330 bus speed (2.3ghz roughly).

I updated the bios because i needed to for a e8400 processor that i ordered and should be arriving soon.

However, to the point.

I changed my processor speed back after the flash and noticed it isnt displaying its core speed at 2.3ghz

I noticed in cpu-z that the multiplier is changing constantly between x6 and x7

So its spiking between 2.3ghz and 1.9ghz depending on the multiplier.

I have no idea what is going on here. Anyone have any clues as to whats up? It hasnt done this before.

There is an option in the BIOS that sets the CPU to a slower speed when the performance is not needed. I saw something similar in CPU-Z and after changing this setting in the BIOS it went away. I think it was called EIST or something like that.
