I picked up a Gigabyte NV66T128VP 6600GT this past weekend. I opened the box and there was this extra little package inside. I thought it was probably something for the VIVO functionality, but was surprised to find that it was an SLI connector.

I thought these were only shipping with motherboards. Are there other video cards shipping with the SLI connectors?

IIRC, the entry-level DFI SLI motherboard (which used the Ultra chipset) didn't ship with the SLI connector.

The entry level DFI board isn't an SLI board at all... DFI just made it so you could mod the chip and then get SLI functionality out of a cheaper motherboard. nVidia says they fixed it with newer revisions of the chip though.

I went into one of their stores. If I can get it up here, then it must be available somewhere in the US. :D

Great card too. Silent, VIVO, and faster memory (1.6ns chips clocked at 1120MHz out of the box).
