I just bought a Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3P motherboard and am downloading all the most current drivers prior to the install. Using
http://www.gigabyte.us/Product...ew.aspx?ProductID=3015
as a starting point, I've got the latest manual, BIOS, Dynamic Energy Saver, and EasyTune. From, Intel's site, I got a more current chipset INF package. That left me with the audio (ALC889A) and network (RTL81111C) stuff. For some reason, Gigabyte doesn't have the network drivers on their site. My past experience with Realtek network drivers is that they get downloaded with Windows Update. Should I just let the network drivers update this way or should I go to Realtek and download them. I assume
http://122.146.118.42/download...TypeID=3&GetDown=false
is the right starting point.
The sound drivers are more interesting. Gigabyte has a download with a version number of 5.10.0.5793 and a size of 46.16 MB. The Realtek site
http://122.146.118.42/download...TypeID=3&GetDown=false
has their HD audio codec with a version number of 2.23 and a size of around 30 MB (which I can't download, anyway, since their site is so bad). Since the manual mentions Dolby Home Theater and (specific to Vista) the Dolby GUI Software, I assumed that the difference between the packages was that Gigabyte's included the Dolby stuff. But, from
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Sup...oard/Utility_List.aspx
I found a download for Dolby Home Theater that's 120 MB in size. So, that can't be it. Does anyone have any idea what I should be downloading?
