Gigabyte Mobo treats SATA 3 as SCSI?

I have a Gigabyte GA-990FX-UD3 AM3+ motherboard and a 2tB Toshiba SATA 3 hard drive.

All BIOS settings are set to treat all SATA devices as AHCI/SATA type, instead of as IDE. But Win7 sees my drive as SCSI.

I’ve tried different SATA ports, updated BIOS, updated drivers, and it never says SATA 3. Is this normal? And if not, how do I fix it?
Thanks!

It's normal. I've had the some problem. There's no fix that I could find. The only thing to check is whether the sata device is hot swappable or not. Unless it's the OS drive then you can't check that.
