Gigabyte memory enhance mode

I was browsing around the GA-965P-DS3 BIOS and came across a feature labeled "memory enhance mode", or something to that extent. Options were Normal, Fast, and Turbo. Does it just increase the clock speed or does it tweak the memory controller like Intel PAT/ASUS HyperPath? I had set it to turbo and noticed artifacts (and a full freeze) on the JMicron BIOS screen, so I reverted to normal and never touched it since.
