Hello,

I have a Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 with an intel 1211 and 1219-v network card. I'm running Windows 10 x64 vanilla - clean fresh install NO other apps installed. I perform windows update as it can see the 1211 nic but no drivers for the 1219-v so it is sitting in system properties as nonfunctional. Logs are fine. I attempt to install the drivers from the gigabyte web page and while it does enable the nic, now the event log fills up with even 17 whea-logger every second. I can't find drivers for that nic on intel's web page.

I can't find drivers for that nic on intel's web page.

That's odd, neither can I. The Gigabyte site only lists one LAN driver for that board. Are you sure about the two NICs being different types?

Also, you could try using Intel's driver utility to see whether it serves up an updated driver for one of both NICs.

About whea-logger; I realise that whea-type event log errors are meant to be pretty serious, but I'm not sure I've ever encountered a hardware problem on any machine I've seen whea errors on. Early Lenovo Win8 laptops had a real tendency to throw those errors as well.

I wish Gigabyte would actually be specific in their specifications; even the board manual doesn't ID the LAN NICs!

While I still would like the latest drivers for those nics - it turns out installing the drivers triggered an issue with the LSI raid controller 9271 that I had in the x16 slot towards the bottom so I switched it with my 10g nic that was in the center - both x8 cards but no trouble when they were reversed.
