Gigabyte Mainboard w/no gameport.

Hi,

I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939 mainboard that just failed and I am looking to replace it with the same. I found out, though, that the K8NSC has no game port. Is that something that I can change later (without changing the entire motherboard) - or am I stuck? I do some gaming, not real heavy, but would like the option of having a game port.

Is there some reason why you have to have a gameport? I mean the only use the have no really is old old Joysticks; in which case you can just get a gameport to usb adapter.

No need for one nowadays since most gamepads/joysticks etc are USB,so the simple solution is buy USB gamepad/joystick.

He might have an old driving wheel. My old Wingman Formula Force driving wheel (gathering dust due to game port interface) is still better in build quality than anything I have see since. It was initially priced too high, so newer models were released with less cost but also with less durability.

But yes, just buy a new USB game pad/stick/wheel. Sucks, but that is the easiest (laziest) route. Maybe someone can recommend a PCI gameport card, but I figure, why bother...
