Gigabyte K8NXP-SLI RAID detection issue?

crashish

Member
It seems that about 80-90% of the time, on a restart of the system (warm boot) the nvidia SATA RAID detection stalls immediately after it displays the message "Detecting array..."

There is never an issue after turning the system completely off then on again, but it is annoying to have to do this after installing a driver or some Windows update which requires a restart.

Has anyone had this issue on the Gigabyte mobo or any other nforce4 based boards?

I've had this issue on an older gigabyte board, although the issue was with a maxtor 40gb. I never really figured out how to fix it tho, just turn it off every time.

I can't turn it off, I have an array setup on this adapter with 2 300gb sata drives...

Has anyone else experienced problems with the nvidia raid adapter on nforce4 boards?
