Gigabyte K8NS Ultra-939 ... a couple of questions please ?

Hi all

I am looking for a couple of bits of info re: the Gigabyte K8NS Ultra-939 board please.

According to here:- http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums...ead.php?t=47401

under the "overvolting options" section, it states that the latest BIOS VDIMM goes up to 2.85v ?!?!

It doesnt say though whether or not your VDIMM must be rated at 2.65v [+0.2v] to get up to the 2.85v *OR* whether you can just select up to 2.85v with the latest BIOS regardless of your memory's stock vdimm ?

=> can anyone please confirm either way ?

and...

=> is there a central FTP or HTTP site to look for Gigabyte BETA BIOS's for either the K8NS Ultra-939 or the K8NSNXP-939 ?

Thanks again,
Ben

I'm just about positive you can select 1.85v regardless what the default vdimm is. I've never heard of a board opperating otherwise. And I believe I overvolted my friend's ram a bit on his K8NS Ultra-939.

Don't know about the bios thing though.
